Product Details:

One day, an evildoer with a magic cane appears and splits Kirby into 10 pieces. Kirby sets off on a journey to return to his original form. Players use the touch screen to control a mass of Kirby characters in a new and novel way. Swipe the touch screen to launch them in a mass attack against enemies, then tap the enemies into submission.

Players use the stylus on the touch screen to control a swarm of up to 10 Kirby characters at once. They can help players defeat enemies and find treasure. The number of Kirby characters under a player's control is important, as some challenges require a specific number of Kirby characters in order to be solved. When the number of Kirby characters is increased, players can gain the upper hand.
Players can control each Kirby character in a variety of ways using a stylus on the touch screen. For example, a Kirby character can be launched into the air with a flick of the stylus, or players can make a swarm of Kirby characters dash to a given point by tapping on that spot on the touch screen multiple times.
By collecting medals hidden throughout the various stages, players can unlock a wide variety of additional mini-games, each with its own distinctive challenges.

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

Beginning: To start out, I did have doubts about this game. I saw the cover with nothing on it except Kirby: Mass Attack. It sounded like a cool title but I decided to wait. When the official cover came out I had doubts. It had you using the stylus the whole time and I don't usually play those kind of games. I also thought the idea of it wasn't a good idea. They were coming out with Kirby: Return to Dreamland, and I was going to reserve it, but then I asked a guy at GameStop which game he thought was better. Kirby: Return to Dreamland, or The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. He said Return to Dreamland would be epic, but Skyward Sword would be legendary. I liked the legendary feeling better and changed my mind. Yeah. But what about Mass Attack? Didn't want any part in the game and didn't think about it. Then for Christmas, I got Kirby: Mass Attack. I was disappointed, but I said "Lets give it a try." I tried the game and found out my assumptions were wrong and it was an amazing game. Let me explain my experience.
Game-play: The gameplay overall was very fun. You had 10 Kirby's and you controlled all of them. You flicked, and attacked. Those were Kirby's main attacks. I liked the idea of using fruit to get more Kirbys. My problem with it was that sometimes not all the Kirby's were alert, and attacking took too long. If you had 10 Kirby's it was quick, but the attacking was sort of a waste of time. I did understand for boss battles though. The whole plot was fresh also.
Graphics: Would've loved it in 3-D, but for this kind of game, side-scrolling is the way to go. They make their graphics like old Kirby games, but there's something that seems different about it. Its revised, new enemies and bosses, and more fun!
Sound: The beginning theme is the most addicting DS theme that I've ever heard! If you listened to it, you'd think the same thing. They returned fun, classic enemy music making it better.
Lasting Appeal: One of the longest games I've ever played on a DS, or should I say the longest! It took me 4 months to get through the game. Challenging. Yes. Levels took like 10 minutes or more to complete. The game does sound easy if you count 4 worlds times 10 stages equals 4 worlds times 10 levels equals 40 levels, then you add 5 stages in world 5 equaling 45 stages which comes out to a total of 450 minutes. Sounds short, but once you complete world 4, you'll see why it took me so long.
Conclusion: Overall, great game and my doubts were wrong. Buy this game because all of the above makes paying $35 for the game worth it!

The game was realy good, I think its adventures and has awsome sounds, it'll last you a while befor you get bored. The only thing I wish the game could do is let you play without the pin. Over all, its a good game.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

One thing I really wish this game had was to be able to use the real controls instead of the stylus but other wise it was great! The story is scary and fun and I had a great time playing it! It lasted me a while and was very entertaining. This game's difference from previous games is good and the game is still true to Kirby's origin. Love it! :D

it was a fun game. the controls are not bad but i wish i could use the control pad instead of the stylus. i started playing it but it got boring after a while . it is not that addicting. either way it was fun, very fun.

A lot of replay value in this game with all the mini-games and medals that you are challenged to collect. This game looks cute but is challenging once you get to later levels. The use of 10 kirbys adds strategy and can make some creative puzzles throughout the game. Also, do not be driven away with the idea of moving with touch controlls. The use of touch controls is utilized very well and makes controlling 10 characters possible, quick, and smooth. This is a must buy for any DS owner.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

I'll just get to the point. Kirby Mass Attack is a great game overall. It has a great idea behind it, but with some clumsy controls. I personally don't like the Kirbys' AI, which is comparable to Pikmin, as they tend to get stuck behind walls they can very easily go around. This can be a bit of a problem when dealing with the game's many puzzles and hazards. While the it's quite fun at times, it can also be very challenging. I prefer to play the sub-games unlockable by collecting medals which, in my opinion, out-rank the main game itself.

Okay so my first review! Yay! So this game Kirby mass attack is fun and challenging. It's designed like a classic nintendo game like super mario, but they put a modern gaming twist on it. I have to say Nintendo did a fantastic job with that. The game is not made for graphics, so don't expect amazing graphics worthy of bragging about. The game adds hard challenges, and clever puzzles. My only problem with the game was the frames went by to fast. That's why I gave gameplay a 7/10. Sound is not usually a problem with most games, so that gets a 10/10. The graphics aren't ment to be amazing, but they are good enough so they get a 9/10. The game will last a while, especially with the sidequests and minigames. So lasting appeal gets a 10/10. The kirby's are controlled completely with the stylus. And the touch screen controls work well and are fun to use. So i'll give this game a 9/10. Nice job nintendo!

I got this game about a week after it came out, so sorry it took me a while to write this review. First the gameplay. you get to control a mob of up to ten kirbys only using the stylus. Stylus only may scare some people away butunlike canvas curse it really is easy to get used to. The gameplay is very similar to what you would expect a 2d pikmin game to be. I mean to kill enemies its just like pikmin all you have to do is throw your pikmin at it and watch them kill it. Like canvas curse you can collect medals, but it really isnt neccesary. The game is realativley sure and took me only about seven hours to complete it. Also once you get up to ten kirbys its pretty easy to maintain it at ten kirbys. The game is not hard, but not too easy to keep hardcore gamers away. The music was nice and suited the backrounds very well. The graphics were also very nice and are very similar to usual kirby games. The lasting appeal is ok. I mean while I was playing through my first play through it kept my interest, but after i beat it it would probably take a while for me to plaay it again. So in general I wpould recomend this to anyone of any age, and if you are deciding between this and canvas curse, for most people I would prefer this.
